    Listed hereafter is a proposed overview indicating our intention in regard to Public Relations in communicating with our club and the Public in order to bring them up to date on what is taking place within the club. Also, information will be conveyed so that our club members and the public has a general idea of the Oak Bay Rotary Club’s objectives and accomplishments in regard to Rotarians giving service above self. This is a way of knitting the club with the community.

    COMMUNITY:
    Commencing at the end of July 09, on a monthly basis, an overview outlining Oak Bay Rotary Club highlights and objectives in short form, made up of photographs and writings will be circulated. This is meant to give our community and the community of Oak Bay a reminder to our club members as to what we as a service club are accomplishing, and also to outline our objectives within the community and the world. Arrangements with be made to distribute this information through our Greater Victoria News Media, emphasising the Community of Oak Bay and Greater Victoria , thus giving our club continual exposure.

    METHOD OF COMMUNICATIONS;

  • Using the Oak Bay Rotary Bulletin.
  • Distribute our news, accomplishments and achievements through the greater Victoria media, such as newspapers and cable television. The Oak Bay community association will assist by giving us a contact list regarding newspapers and television contacts.
  • We will ask our club members to inform each other and the public as to what we as a Rotary Club are doing in regard to assisting the community and the world.
  • The Club Public Relations group will at all times be open to assist our club in regard to getting a message out pertaining to any project or otherwise.
  • I would very much appreciate any suggestions that would enhance the preceding objectives, keeping all abreast of the hard work being put in by our club members individually and also the club itself as a whole.
